What I do...?
Thanks for taking the time to check out my previous post about this crazy-radical year-end campaign I’m jumping into!
Like I said in my last post, I’m trying to raise $10,000 in a little over two weeks! Ambitious, yes! But I’m hopeful! And… even if we only hit a certain percentage… every little bit helps! What I’ve learned about support raising is that you’ve gotta be willing to try things!
If I’m going to try to mobilize 50 people (which means I’m probably going to be inviting close to 200 people) to give towards the work I do, I figure it wouldn’t hurt at all to be pretty clear about what it is that I do!
So, check out this quick video where I explain some of the nature of the work I do on behalf of YWAM.
As usual, for the readers among you… scroll below the video.
What I do with YWAM
There are a few different expressions of the work I do with YWAM.
First, I equip and empower youth ministry workers and churches in their endeavours to disciple young people. I do this primarily through coaching and consulting.
Second, I mobilize young people to Kingdom engagement. I do this primarily through helping to facilitate local and international missional opportunities.
There are a handful of other things I get to do and other ways these two priorities manifest themselves, but this is the bulk of it!
Up next… the realities of Support Raising…
Also, interestingly enough.. about two years ago I wrote a bit of a post explaining “What I’m Actually Doing” with YWAM. Things have evolved a bit… but if you’re curious, take a look at where things got started!
