A little about me.
I take a practical approach that is borne from conviction.

Why I Do This
I've come to believe that the teenage years are some of the most formational years of a person's life. In a world crowded with competing voices about identity, belonging, and meaning, young people are navigating more than we often see on the surface. Beneath the noise, they're asking real questions — about who they are, what matters, and whether following Jesus is truly worth it.
That's where my heart lives.
I am compelled by a simple conviction: when young people encounter Jesus for themselves — not just information about Him, not just inherited faith, but a real and personal encounter — everything changes. Identity shifts. Priorities reorder. Calling becomes more than a concept. My work exists to help create environments where that kind of encounter can happen and where its fruit can take root for the long haul.
Where I Serve
I serve with Youth With a Mission (YWAM.ORG) San Diego/Baja while living in Niagara, Canada — an arrangement that may seem unconventional, but one that allows me to serve churches and ministries across denominations, regions, and contexts.
Youth With A Mission (YWAM) is an interdenominational Christian mission organization founded in 1960. Its primary goal is to “know God and to make Him known.” YWAM focuses on missionary work and training, emphasizing youth engagement.
Through YWAM's call to “Know God and Make Him Known,” I partner with leaders who long to see young people not simply participate in programs, but come alive in Christ.
I first stepped into youth ministry in 2001 and spent 16 years on staff at Central Baptist Church in Edmonton, serving in roles ranging from Youth Intern to Student Ministries Pastor, Emerging Generations Pastor (overseeing kids, youth, and young adult ministries), and eventually Site Pastor and Preaching Team member. Over those years, I walked closely with students, families, and ministry leaders — and led or oversaw mission experiences involving more than 500 students.
Being fluent in English and Spanish has opened doors in diverse settings, but more than that, those years shaped how I think about formation. I've seen mountaintop moments ignite real faith — and I've seen those same moments fade when they weren't intentionally woven into everyday life. That tension continues to shape how I serve today.
I care deeply about theology and conviction — but I'm equally committed to practical steps that actually shape everyday life.
Why This Structure Matters
As a self-supported missionary, I'm sustained by Kingdom-minded partners rather than a single congregation. That structure gives me the freedom to serve broadly and to ensure that finances are never the primary barrier to meaningful partnership.
The goal is never a transaction. The goal is what happens when young people encounter Jesus and are formed for a lifetime of faithfulness.
Serving within YWAM also connects me to a wider network of mission and discipleship pathways — including Mission Adventures experiences and Discipleship Training Schools (DTS) for those sensing a deeper call. I love helping students and leaders discern their next faithful step.
A Bit More Personally
I'm a husband and a father, walking with my sons as they grow into men who love Jesus deeply and live courageously. I care about long conversations over great coffee, the open road on a motorcycle, and building things that last — whether that's discipleship pathways or friendships rooted in trust.
At the end of the day, I'm not trying to build a platform. I want to faithfully steward the calling Jesus has placed on my life and help others do the same.
